In the Studio: Letting Go

[In the Studio, August 11, 2011 /Image & Artwork: designslinger studio]

There comes a time in life when we have to let go - of something. After working on an
idea or concept for a while, and reworking and then retooling things all over again, and again, you finally just have to accept the fact that it's time to let go, step back and say - done.

It sounds easier than you think. But you can get buried in the concept and lose your way,
straying far beyond your original intent. After letting go the shades are drawn, light comes streaming in, and you have what you've been looking for. More often than not you return right back to where you started and realize that the original idea was the best one after all, plus you learned a lot along the way. The question is, did you learn enough to know when to let go of the next project?
