In the Studio: Color Swatches

[In the Studio, May 7, 2011 /Image & Artwork: designslinger]

The color test process was finally underway and going quite well actually. The system I'd come up with seemed to be working - at least in keeping everything organized and flowing. It took several days because of ink drying time, and then it was done!

And here are some of the results of the fourteen pieces of paper with their 14 different   color combinations. I know that there are hundreds of colors I can eventually mix on my own, but I wanted to begin somewhere and see what the colors looked like out-of-the-tube and how they worked together. Of course there will still be lots of experimenting going on, but I'm glad I have these swatches of color to start with. As Therese commented last week, it's like having one of those fan books that you can pick-up at Home Depot or Lowes. Just without the fan part.

If you missed the color swatch process from the beginning here's: In the Studio: Color, and In the Studio: Testing, Testing, 1-2-3.
