Thank you for posting that interesting article on the redesign of the NYC Subway map. (Also on the NY Times' part, nice use of the pull down menu to display the old maps in comparsion with teh new one.) I'm happy to see that latest version is closer to the old 1979 map. I lived and died by that map back when I was a student at Pratt Institute.
