We went into the heart of Chicago's downtown district to see the city's Christmas tree
in
Daley Plaza, home of Picasso's sculpture. Which by the way has no formal title, it's just Chicago's Picasso.

The plaza was packed with Alpine inspired stands filled with holiday decorations from

Germany, for the city's annual Christkindlmarket.

German food was also plentiful, including some goodies from one of Chicago's oldest

German bakeries, Dinkel's. The city was once home to one of the largest German immigrant populations in the country.

There were visual delights for children of all ages.
