Chicago!!!!
We made it! This picture was taken through a bug-splashed windshield as we drove
up Interstate 55 heading into Chicago.
It was the third day of a three day, 32 hour drive from LA. Now, we just have to wait for
a call from the movers notifying us that our furniture is arriving, and then we begin the unpacking process.
We saw some interesting sights along the roads of America and posted a few of them on
our Twitter page. If you haven't seen them yet, click on the Twitter link near the top of the sidebar and take a peek.
We will be in the city taking a few pictures of our new hometown and posting them through
the next week or so as we settle in, and start on a renewed designslinger from our new hometown.
Thanks to everyone for ALL the good wishes. We've been overwhelmed by the positive
feedback and support. We will miss our California friends, but we're only a phone call, blog posting, email or plane trip away.

I wanna go there someday.

It was interesting to learn about Los Angeles through your eyes. Let's see what Chicago can give. 3 days! That's a lot of driving. The sense of distance is so relative. For us in Spain 1000 kms and a little more, that is, what it takes to go across Spain is a lot. Thanks God we can step on the gas and we don't have that many police controls. I drove along the turnpike from Miami to Orlando in one of those oversized rented convertibles, automatic transmission of course, at about 65 miles per hour and I thought I was going to fall asleep. There was the automatic speed control but I was so tense trying to cope with the lack of manual gears, the police, the gas stations to the left in the middle of the highway, that I was afraid to try it :). I just can't imagine Los Angeles - Chicago!!!
