Lots of interesting reading this week from the feed list and beyond. In the long-linking ways
of the blogosphere, saw a headline that attracted my attention on my Curbed LA feed. They had a post linking to the Detox the Planet blog about a new housing prototype eminating from the folks in the Arizona desert at Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West.
The FLW School of Architecture's Taliesin Mod.fab, is a 600 sq.ft. home that "is an example of simple, elegant and sustainable living in the desert." Here's a link to the FLW website.

The LA Times' architecture critic, Christopher Hawthorne, had two very interesting articles
this week. First, his comments on a new book of essays about Los Angeles, The Infrastructural City. Then there is the review he wrote of Thom Mayne's Cahill Center at CalTech, along with a video tour of the building. Hawthorne's review is a good read, and so are the comments. I enjoy reading peoples comments as much as the main article a lot of the time.

I posted two weeks ago about discovering the LA River bridges when we moved here 13

years ago. Well, Wednesday's LA Times reported that the city has unveiled plans for replacing one of the old spans, the 6th Street Viaduct. The new design is already causing controversy, so we'll see what happens, if it happens.

Monday Monday,...
