I've read some interesting tidbits of information on our feed list and thought I'd include
some of them here, with links for the complete story.

The Chicago Tribune reports on Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple getting a $200,000
grant to help repair their leaky roof. He's as famous for his designs as he is his dripping ceilings.

The newspaper also has an update on St. Boniface Church, a building with a City of Chicago

landmark designation that the archdiocese is trying to demolish.

In New York, the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission has given historic status
to St. Nicholas Church, according to curbed. Hopefully, the NYC archdiocese will go along.

Archinect reports that a Frank Lloyd Wright movie is in the works. The screenplay will be
based on the novel Loving Frank, which tells the story of his scandalous relationship with Mamah Borthwick Cheney. In a life filled with drama, I can't believe it's taken this long to make a movie about him.

We've had a couple of postings about the Chicago Spire, and here's the latest news from
ArchitectureChicagoPlus.

And, for our friends Bill and Ira who are travelling to Rome in two weeks, eternallycool

reports that the scaffolding has been removed from the Fountain of Four Rivers in the Piazza Navona. Now, lets just hope the Tiber doesn't get any more ideas about slopping over its banks.

Lastly, from WiredScience comes this spectacular photo of the Christmas Tree Cluster in

the constellation of Momoceros.

See you Monday.
