To accompany our posting today about the human body and the art of tattooing, I wanted to include this posting about the photography of Bill Durgin. He presents us with another way of looking at the human figure that is compelling and unique. As the gallery states:

                                "Durgin’s photographs reflect his fascination with the
                                 figure as a sculptural entity. His complex arrangements
                                 of the body require extreme contortion to achieve an
                                 austere effect, as if the figures have been abstracted."
